The public limited company Jacodis SA, having its registered office at Chaussée De Waterloo, 1331 in 1180 Uccle and with company registration number BE 0459.273.026 is the entity responsible for processing your data (hereinafter referred to as “Jacodis”).

The data controller processes user data in a correct manner and may take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of data.

  1. Security and Confidentiality

Jacodis undertakes to take all appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information and data collected from destruction, loss, unintentional modification, damage, accidental or unauthorized access or any other unauthorized processing of data.

To ensure this security, Jacodis uses, among other things, encryption of communication between the server and your computer, firewalls, antivirus analyses, access controls, logs, back-ups.

The number of employees who have access to your data is restricted and this access is only granted to the extent that it is necessary for the performance of their duties. If Jacodis works with subcontractors to carry out the various services and products it offers, it will make the necessary arrangements with these subcontractors to ensure the protection of your data.

In addition, we have integrated the necessary policies and procedures within our organization and have designated a data protection officer.

  1. Collection of personal data

Your data may be collected in a variety of ways, including when:

  • you take part in a contest or an action organized by Jacodis whether online or offline;

This means that Jacodis can process your data to analyze, evaluate and improve its range of products and services. This includes: asking for feedback on our products and services, data we obtain from your contact with our customer service.   • Compliance with our legal obligations.

In some cases, we have a legal obligation to retain certain data about you and/or to disclose it to authorities and/or courts, such as tax and accounting obligations and compulsory transfer of data in the context of a police or judicial investigation.

In exercising your right to limit or object to the treatment or to withdraw your consent, we ask you to clearly indicate which treatment(s) you object to or which consent you wish to withdraw.

If you wish to exercise your rights, we ask you to provide us with proof of your identity in order to prevent any unauthorized disclosure or use of your data. We therefore ask you to add a copy of the front of your identity card to your request. This copy will only be used by us to implement the rights you are exercising.

For the sake of completeness, we also inform you of your right to lodge a complaint with the Privacy Commission (commission@privacycommission.be) if Jacodis does not respond to your request for access to your data, if Jacodis refuses your request or if our response does not meet your expectations. You can visit our website without giving your personal data. However, the use of certain products (e.g. a contact form) entails by their nature an obligation to communicate certain personal data.
